This brand is inspired by the legacy of Florence and Harry Lee Brown. Florence was a woman of quiet strength and bold resilience, married to Harry Lee, a man known in Blackville, South Carolina, as a figure of stature and respect.

Her journey began in Emelle, Alabama, and later took her to New York, where she met Harry Lee. After traveling across the country and abroad, they eventually settled in his hometown of Blackville. There, they raised three daughters and created a foundation that stretched far beyond their immediate family. Florence’s love extended to Harry Lee’s younger siblings and relatives, opening her home to anyone who needed it. Her warmth made the house a gathering place for generations, while Harry Lee built respect through his work, his voice, and the trust others placed in him.

In time, Florence grew tired of roles that did not honor her and chose a different path, stepping fully into her own light and creating a legacy that carried her name. Harry Lee, too, left his own mark as a respected pillar of his community, admired for his determination, steadiness, and unshakable resolve.

Years later, their impact lived on in me. After my grandfather passed, I found myself drawn to 78 Lounge, his club that became a cornerstone of the community. By then, my grandmother lived next door in our family home with my aunt. I would pour drinks at the lounge, surrounded by music, laughter, and belonging that he built , then walk back home to sit with her, anchored by her quiet wisdom and care. Moving between those two spaces was like moving between their legacies: his alive in public connection, hers alive in private devotion.

What they both gave me was community, the kind that thrives in celebration and in care. My grandfather gave me a love for music and a connection. My grandmother taught me to savor life’s simple joys, to communicate through food, and to care deeply for others. Wine, for me, is how I carry them both forward.

What begins with wine accessories today will grow into custom blends, curated experiences, and a community built on intention and clarity. At its core, this brand is not just about wine; it is about legacy. It is about Florence and Harry Lee, whose lives proved that resilience takes many forms, and whose love continues to shape everything I build.

Being their granddaughter is both a blessing and an inheritance. This is my grandparents’ legacy, and a toast to every woman and man writing their own story, securing their own seat at the table, and savoring life on their own terms.
